Journeys to

Three currents we keep coming back to. Take one as it is, bend it, or break it open entirely — a journey designer shapes it with you.

The rhythm

Bush first, coast second. After the plains, Zanzibar changes the pace completely — the journey ends slow, not spent.

The rhythm

Victoria Falls

The smoke that thunders.

The Zambezi drops as a curtain roughly 1.7 kilometres wide into a chain of basalt gorges shared by two countries — its spray can rise high enough to be seen from dozens of kilometres away.

A river that ends in sand, and becomes an eden.

One of the world's few great inland deltas never reaching the sea — its flood arrives in the dry season, and the wetland's life is timed to that rhythm.

A big thank you to Wild Strides Africa, and especially Faith, for helping make our Rwanda trip such a memorable one! From the very beginning, Faith was amazing to work with. She took time to understand what we wanted, helped us put together a lovely itinerary, and was always available whenever we needed assistance or had questions. What I appreciated most was how personal she made the whole experience feel. It never felt like we were just another client. We got to explore Kigali, enjoy the beautiful scenery around Lake Kivu, experience Rwanda's countryside, and make some really good memories along the way. The itinerary was well thought out, but also flexible enough for us to enjoy the trip at our own pace, which we really appreciated. Faith, thank you so much for your patience, kindness and for genuinely caring about our experience. It's the little things and the personal attention that make all the difference, and you certainly delivered on that. Would definitely recommend Wild Strides Experience to anyone planning a trip. We had such a wonderful time in Rwanda, and you played a big part in making that happen. Asante sana! 😍

The invitation

Where would you like

Questions

Asked, answered.

Something else on your mind? A journey designer will answer honestly — including when we are not the right fit.

What exactly does a journey designer do?

Your designer is a single, accountable expert who translates how you like to travel into routes, stays and pacing. They work with established local partners and stay with your journey from first idea to safe return.

Which regions does Wild Strides cover?

East and Southern Africa are our home ground — Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Rwanda, Namibia, Botswana and South Africa — alongside selected Indian Ocean islands and North African extensions such as Morocco.

How far in advance should we begin planning?

For peak wildlife season and small, high-demand lodges, nine to twelve months is comfortable. Six months suits most journeys; shorter timelines are often still workable with the right designer.

Are journeys suitable for children?

Yes — family journeys are designed differently: private vehicles, shorter transfers, camps that welcome younger travellers and guides who make the wild legible to curious minds.

Can you work with specific interests — food, design, photography?

That is the point of a tailor-made journey. Culinary routes, studio and gallery visits, time with makers, photographic guiding — the route follows your curiosity, not a fixed circuit.

What does a journey cost?

Every journey is designed to order, so budgets vary with season, style of stay and distance. After a first conversation your designer will shape a proposal with transparent costs — before anything is confirmed.
